FAB is a proud partner of the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) in transforming under-utilized spaces into public, open green spaces for use by the entire community. In September 2011 the DOT, after receiving significant community input, installed a pedestrian plaza at the Putnam Triangle on Fulton and Grand Avenue in Clinton Hill.

New Plaza - Work to Begin

After receiving overwhelming support from the Community Board, in partnership with the Fulton Area Business (FAB) Alliance, the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) will be creating a new pedestrian-only public plaza at Fowler Square in Fort Greene at the intersection of Fulton Street and Lafayette Avenue... in the FAB Alliance Business Improvement District (BID).

Spring Cleaning: Graffiti Removal

Another project of the FAB Alliance is graffiti removal in the BID district along Fulton Street. Unfortunately, it's a project that is never "done" but one that workers stay on top of thoughout the year. In April, a major round of spring cleaning was done with graffiti removed from hundreds of light posts, mail boxes, traffic signals and buildings.
