Enjoy a day of art and discovery during our second annual ART 360º event, a FREE self-guided exploration of the rich cultural area that is Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Take in a free walking tour; witness live window painting by local artists; see the latest installations and exhibits at world-class institutions; snap selfies near iconic street murals; get creative at the activity demonstrations in Fowler Square -- art is all around us and waiting for you! Plan your day with the illustrated guide map (available here), and be sure to make time to visit the FAB shops and eateries in the area!
BROOKLYN CULTURAL DISTRICT TOURS

Culture is art and history and music -- experience them all, in Fort Greene, the heart of the Brooklyn Cultural District! These FREE Saturday walking tours, curated and co-presented by FAB FULTON and American Opera Projects (AOP), deliver a lively and informative foray into the Fort Greene entertainment district of years past. For two hours, you’ll be immersed in the history of stately venues and revered theaters that attracted the top vaudeville and stage talents to Brooklyn for decades, in addition to new, state-of-the-art institutions that have made this area a major destination for the arts. And as you stroll past street art, open plazas, and lovely brownstone-dotted blocks, live “pop-up operas” by AOP’s artists add to the experience! (Register in advance here; space is limited.)

Let us serenade you this summer with films that will move you -- literally! We’ve got a great lineup of musical movies, some iconic, some eclectic, but all FAB Flicks that you’ll love. Once again, BAM Film has curated our free series for the big screen in our own Brooklyn “Backlot,” and we plan for lots of fun giveaways and special treats to precede each showtime, so get there early!
