FAB Flicks: "School Daze"

The "Backlot" at Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center
650 Fulton St.
Fort Greene, Brooklyn
Thursday, August 15, 2019 - 8:30pm

Summer is great for movies and music, and there's nothing like enjoying your faves outside and under the stars! BAM Film has again curated our free series for the big screen in our own Brooklyn "Backlot" outdoors at Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center (650 Fulton) and it's been a blast! Our final film is the music-filled spectacle School Daze (1988, 121 min.), on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 8:30p. Doors open at 7:30p.

Spike Lee's audacious follow-up to "She's Gotta Have It" starring Larry Fishburne, Giancarlo Esposito, and Tisha Campbell-Martin follows a self-styled radical at the historically black Mission College as he tries to shake up the campus' political conscience and clashes with the Gamma Phi Gamma fraternity.

Arrive early for music, fun giveaways, and special treats! The raffle prize for the night includes a Flex Package from Theatre For A New Audience that includes four tickets to any performance(s) in their 2019-2020 season, and a $25 gift card to The Quarter BK! (Plus, everyone can grab a FAB card and get 10% off all meals at Hot House Fort Greene, through August 15!) Feel free to bring over takeout or snacks from one of the many FAB businesses in the area. Free Admission.
