The "Backlot" at Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center
650 Fulton St.
Fort Greene, Brooklyn
Thursday, August 23, 2018 - 8:30pm

Summer just wouldn’t be the same without an outdoor film or two, and Fulton Street draws a movie-loving crowd! Once again, FAB Fulton has teamed up with BAMcinématek, for a FAB Flicks slate of cinematic favorites from the ‘80s and ‘90s. Come out to our new “backlot” location outdoors at Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center (650 Fulton) to sing along, laugh, cry and recite those famous lines from movies you know and love! Join us Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 8:30p for the final film of the FAB Flicks series this summer, a true classic: Purple Rain (1984), 111 min., directed by Albert Magnoli.

Set against the subculture of the thriving Minneapolis music scene, a struggling musician (Prince) deals with his hatred for his abusive father and his love for a beautiful singer/dancer. Also starring Apollonia Kotero and Morris Day.

Arrive early for music, fun giveaways and special treats! Feel free to bring over takeout or snacks from one of the many FAB businesses in the area. Free Admission.
